Importance Of Classification:
Due to classification, we can determine the similarities and differences among organisms. Due to the structure and other characteristics of organisms, we can identify and study them. We can also know the relationship among organisms.

Classify the plants into two groups(monocots and dicots) and give example of each group?
Answer:
Monocot Plants
The flowering plants whose seeds have one cotyledon are called monocot plants. Sugarcane, wheat, rice, bamboo and maize are the examples of monocot plants.
Dicot Plants:
The flowering plants whose seeds have two cotyledons are called Dicot plants. Mango, guava, rose and pea, etc. are the examples of dicot plants.

Monocot seeds have only one cotyledon and dicot plants have two cotyledons
Leaves:
Monocot plant leaves have parallel veins. The shape of monocot leaves can vary among species, but they generally have a long and narrow form. Examples of monocot leaves include those of grasses, lilies, and orchids. Dicot leaves have veins that form a network or branching pattern. The shape of dicot leaves is highly diverse and can range from simple to compound, and from lobed to entire.
Flowers:
The flowers of monocot plant has multiple of three or three petals. Otherwise the flowers of dicot plants has always 4 or 5 petals or their multiples.
