Understand the value of clean drinking water and inquire about the factors that generally make it unclean?

Answer:

Clean drinking water is necessary because water is life. Sixty percent of the human consists of water. Blood circulates in body due to water. However consuming polluted water may cause diseases like cholera, hepatitis and typhoid etc.

Factors Polluting Water:

The poisonous water from factories, homes, insecticides, fertilizers and garbage is  polluted. Air consists of various gases dirt and particles. All of them mix with rain water. Such water reaches  ponds, rivers, canals and lakes etc. and also pollutes them.

Explore few ways that can help make water clean and suitable for drinking?

Answer:

There are many ways to make water clean and suitable for drinking. We will study here only boiling and filtration.

i. Boiling:

Continue to boil water in a pot till it reaches boiling point. Then let it boil for another 5 to 10 minutes .Due to this, the germs present in water will be killed. This is the easiest way to clean water.

ii. Filtration:

Filtration is like the tea passed through the sieve, it filters the tea leaves. The particles in water can not pass through pores of filter and we get clean water. The process by which the particles present in water get separated by a filter is called filtration.

It is a method of treatment in which the weak or killed germs of a disease are injected into the body. The body produces antibodies against the weak or killed germs. These antibodies remain in body to fight the germs.

2.Rub the back of hands.

3.Palm to palm with fingers interlocked

4. Back of the fingers to opposing palm with interlocked fingers.

5.Rub the thumb between index finger and the thumb area.

6.Rub the finger tips into the palm of opposite hands.

7.Rub both wrists in rotating manner 

8. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
